The 30-day Wilderness Guide School offers you the unique opportunity to learn in two of the premier wilderness areas in the country. The Eagle Cap Wilderness and Hells Canyon wilderess areas have a unique feature in that most years they can be accessed very early in the spring (late April). Most Wilderness areas are still buried in snow at this time. Vast herds of elk, deer, bear and many other animals spend their time there until they can return to higher elevations. This provides us with multiple opportunities to see and stalk various types of game.

Few, if any, other schools can offer an early spring class for packing instruction. Our unique location is on the Minam River within the Eagle Cap Wilderness, Oregon largest.
